Once again our annual gathering seems to have gone off quite well. After a couple of late cancellations 22 gunnies enjoyed a few hours of convivial conversation. Things were a little cramped as we were unfortunately unable to access the first floor but everyone took it in their stride. Many stories were aired and much raucous laughter was raised. I thought the tale of ‘Crockarts Folly’ one of the best. Hopefully a photo and narrative will appear on the web site as a follow up to this.

Our older members Greg McGregor and Tom Klein, who are both pushing 84, were in good health.

The hard core of regulars were in good form and were nicely backed up by some new faces. Thanks to Ken Phelps, Tiny Quinn, Buck Rogers, Mike Lewis and Trevor for joining us.

I could not help noticing that Tiny’s thirst has not diminished over the years. Ken Edwards did a solid job of sticking with him though.

All in all it was a great day. Here’s looking forward to next year.
