Lunchtime Get - Together, 3 May 2001

The RAAF Assoc.Vic. invites all RAAF Armourers to a Reunion Luncheon at the Air Force at the Club:
4 Cromwell Rd , South Yarras, Melb- 3141-, on: 3 May 2001.- the 80th Birthday.Year of the RAAF. It is the time and and the place to meet friends and renew old friendships.

The facility at 4 Cromwell Rd South Yarra has adequate off street parking,and there is good public transport within easy walking distance A map of the location is attached.

The Guest Speaker will be a reprehensive of the Dept of Veteran Affairs.

There were many more attendees and some brought their wives along.  The stayers were booted out at 5.00PM to sally forth to the "Bush Inn" All agreed that the "DO" was a roaring success and Graeme Monkhouse will endeavour to invite the long lost gunnies to the next do in November. Ken & Bill had trouble reading the bus time table and now know that the "F" for the last bus means Friday Only.

There were heaps of previously unheard of gunnies that appeared out of the wood work after an  appeal by the RAAFA organiser Alex Culvenor (ex Rad Tech) published in the Mufti and Vet Affairs NewsLetter. We will try to arrange for their histories to be included on site.
