Impromptu Reunions
"Gunnies at Play"
01 Sep 2007

We are holidaying at Coral Bay 1200 kms north of Perth. Had the good fortune to meet up with Peter & Lee Labrooy who were also here at our caravan park.
Attached photo of gunnies at play may be suitable for the website.
It might even prompt others to submit similar pics.

Barry Smith visit to Adelaide
Mar 2007
Russ King, Barry Smith
Grace and Barry Smith recently spent 5 weeks caravanning in SA visiting friends old and new together with the obligitory sight seeing and general lazing about.
Enclosed is a photo of Russ King and I taken in Rundle Mall, Adelaide following a leisurely lunch and much reminiscing obout our time together at Sale in the early 70's. Russ pedalled into the caravan park on his way home from work later that day so I was able to demonstrate just how good the caravanning life is.
It was great to catch up with Russ and other 'Queer Trade' friends whilst travelling. We plan much more of it over the next few years.

"I visited old Happy on Sunday afternoon at the "HOMESTEAD" nursing home,
in Allora, near Warwick, Qld.
The old bugger is still a grump but has quietened a bit since he lost the
lower part of his right leg due to peripheral vascular disease,
that's what smoking does to ya.
If anyone wants to write (and can forgive him) he would be happy to get some
mail.

A Visit from "The
Monks"
Sep 06

John and brother Graeme Monkhouse visit Ken Edwards and Bill Riley at
Rosebd RSL
| A great time was had seeing each other again after all this
time. Many lies were told and laughs aplenty with some reputations
left in tatters by sharp toungues. We heard all about the delights
of living in Woolgoolga (Woopi) from John , who since discovering it
on a golfing holiday, moved in permanently. Graeme and John were off
to Philiip Island on Sunday for The Moto Grand Prix. Brave men
to battle that traffic!! |

Peter Maher (Pedro) and Tiny Quinn
visits Ken Edwards
April/May 2005
Hi fellow armourers and associates I would like you all to know that
Pedro recently made a trip from Esk QLD to visit me at Rosebud VIC. I
likened this to someone traveling to the moon.
Early this year Pedro informed me that both he and his lady friend Marion
would like to stay with me at my Rosebud residence. Their traveling plan
was to drive from Esk to Tanilba Bay NSW where Kevin Quinn (Tiny) and his
wife Dawn live, then, they all would travel in the Quinn's car to Rosebud.
This all duly happened.
On arrival at my place Tiny dropped Pedro and Marion off and he and Dawn
continued on to nearby Mornington where their son Kevin lives with his
wife Anne and son Patrick.
Pedro and Marion settled in OK and later I contacted Bill Riley who lives
at nearby Rye. Bill and his wife dropped around to see us and we arranged
a dining evening at the Rosebud before their departure.
Tiny and Dawn arranged a sightseeing drive along the Mornington Peninsula
and Tiny's son arranged a party at a local restaurant for his dear old
dad's 76TH.
Their stay was enjoyable and I hope that they will visit me again sometime
in the future.
Regards to all,
Ken Edwards
